Chi Town

In mid-June, Adam and I escaped to Chicago for the Wheeler-Carver wedding weekend.  It was, hands down, the most fun that I have had in ages, and I don't think I was the only grown-up who felt that way!

It was a Friday night wedding, so we had to get ourselves ready right away.  Here are some of the dudes at the hotel bar before heading to the festivities...

Both the ceremony and the reception were held at a very cool venue near Lincoln Park Zoo.

Love these ladies, and love this foursome!!!

So. Much. Fun.

Not a perfect pic, but here are the guys and Kate.  As Scotty said, there's a lot of friendship in this photo.  :)

On day two, we headed to the South Side to catch the Royals-Sox game.  Not that we want to take credit, but the Royals won the game and broke a massive losing streak!

(Did I mention that the Royals were staying at our hotel?  And I took a pic with Salvy in the lobby?  NBD.)

We (surprisingly yet not surprisingly knowing the guys) found a KU sports bar for dinner on Saturday night.

Post-dinner, things took on a very familiar vibe.  We grabbed some beverages, posed for a fabulous foursome pic on the street, and took an Uber to the Carver post-wedding party.

It was the perfect way to cap off the night and the weekend in Chicago.  One of Mike's friends graciously invited us all to his condo's penthouse.  We made our way to the rooftop, and, shortly after we arrived, the fireworks ignited over Navy Pier.  Adam and I knew we would be heading to the airport at the crack of dawn, but it was well worth the late night to cap off our trip perfectly with friends.
