Well, those two years passed quickly! Annalise, your preschool era was a joyful blur. The days are long but the years are short, as they say. You made some wonderful friends - Grace, Kate, and Finley, to name a few. (I think the mommies grieved as much as the girls when we realized you all would be attending different kindergartens in the fall.) And you had some amazing teachers who truly cared for you. I cannot count the number of mornings that Mrs. Jaeger brightened by getting you out of our car in the drop-off lane! Here are a few photos from your last day.
Your last day of preschool included a field day, complete with all of the usual games. You certainly held your own in the sack race!
It was a big weekend, Annalise! As in the previous year, your dance recital immediately followed the end of school. You looked ravishing in your ice blue costume. :)
Without a doubt, the highlight was watching you participate in the father-daughter dance. Your daddy and Todd were such great sports, and they conquered the dance with gusto! Kelly and I may have even gotten a bit teary eyed. (I'm not telling if she's not!)
Annalise, I'm a sentimental gal and, looking back on these photos, it strikes me just how quickly the time will pass. Before long, I will be writing about homecoming flowers and high school graduation. I can hardly bear the thought. For now, I will try to take a page out of your book and just enjoy the ride!
