Jackie loves to golf... pub style!  Our friend Ben had his ThirTEE(ith) birthday party, so like the days of old, we dressed up like winners and headed down the trail of pub golf on a kickin' party bus!

Well, Nana Bannana needs to send us our picture of just Jackie and Adam, but here's the ladies.  (In the background, you will see the Skeeball game that Adam dominated Jackie on.)

Not sure if it's thirTEE related, but we actually only went to 2 bars!  When all your friends are together, who needs to drive around endlessly anyway?

 

Is that a futon?  No... it's a premium futon!  For sale on craiglist and available for pick-up in my garage.  (Had a short post.  Will remove when I get more pics and $100 for it.)

Go KU!

So every year they have a rally for KU football.  All our friends decided to go, so we met up at the Goodvins' new place close by.  With Jackie having not started work, we decided to meet there after Adam's work to maximize party time.  This was sure to be a packed event, and, with all the car seats, there was no way to carpool, and parking was sure to be impossible.  With just a few blocks between us and the kickoff to a great season, we set out with our new Baby Bjorn knockoff.

Just a few blocks in, we noticed the Mosiers had fallen behind.  As we paused, Adam recognized they had made a clever switch to a stroller... well played.  Soon it became clear that this was no "few blocks," and Adam began to realize that this Target baby sling was no cross country rig!  Jackie insightfully responded, "Maybe we should have gotten the stroller out of my car?"

Well, the good news was the exercise of the 3 mile jaunt calmed Adam's grumpiness, and, with only a slight sweat mustache, we rolled in to the event.  We even took a shortcut through all the empty spaces in the parking lot!

Jackie fact check:  odometer says it was 1.3 miles.

Destiny?  No, her name is Annalise!  That's no pole.  She has learned to flip over.  She can even do it without any help!

Gateway to the West!

Moving day is upon us.  Adam is thrilled Jackie handled most of this.  He arrived to everything boxed up and ready to be put in the truck.  Wow, did we have a lot of crap!  Check out that bike Jackie wanted.  (If you look closely, you can still see the tags on it.)  Having movers sounds great, but we still shuttled several car loads of stuff they wouldn't move or we couldn't stand to lose.

Moving is exhausting!

Our KC friends threw us a belated baby shower!  Check out the awesome decorations.

 

Add a dash of Olympics, some brews, and delicious snacks, and you get a great time.  Last time these guys took a picture their babies came 24 to a box...

Great times with great friends.  Some new friends were made, too!!!

Faux Napa

Adam visited St. Louis this weekend, and the fam went to Napa Saturday!  No, not really, but just outside St. Louis are some scenic wineries that we wanted to visit again before the big move.  Since it has been topping out over 100 degrees for the past several weeks, we went before lunch and stayed in the shade.  Hey, it's five o'clock somewhere, right?

 

We were surprised there weren't many people there... so few we didn't have anyone to take a picture of all of us.  If I was smarter, I would have photo shopped these together.  : (

When Adam first held Annalise, she stuck out a fat lower lip.  Ahhh!  Did she forget her daddy?

Once the bottle came out, they were buds again!  (What a cute little Jayhawk.)

Adam wasn't there to help with Annalise's first real food, and he looked forward to giving it a try...
